With all the sage advice that you offer to our group,
I can't imagine you'd be wrong!

Simply tell the developer that the time and cost of
writing and publishing these few pages is minimal,
even if only a few people find it useful.

And then, in your best Bill Lumbergh voice (of Office
Space fame), tell him, "If you could just go ahead and
return to your desk now, that'd be great."
