Yes, I was thinking about that. Games often do that, and some products
like Microsoft products. I've worked 30 bijillion years for
small-to-medium sized companies, and none have listed programmers or
authors--except in books written for academia.

I'm not saying the byline is a bad thing. I'm just thinking the *need*
to be included in a byline is off . . .. As I mentioned, I'd go with the
corporate standard--or try to change the standard if my need were bad
enough (sounds to me like listing the author is not a standard practice
in the case of the original post).

opposed, you can probably talk them out of it, citing your last 20 years
