It's okay with me. English is a living language, and if people can "google"
instead of search, they can FTP instead of "download/upload using File Transfer
Protocol."

Of course, as others have pointed out, you should make sure your audience
understands what you mean. They might not, if they're not knowledgeable
computer/internet users.
