I did lie. "How Green Was My Valley" is about growing up in Wales. Not many Quakers there, I don't think.
Maybe the book about Quakers that I read when very young was called "Thee, Hannah". Or, maybe it was a biography of Richard Nixon. Sigh. Or William Penn.
I do actually hate some things. Some of them are actually vegetables. But I do try not to. And I do try to know them fairly well before I hate them.
Dick and I are trying to resolve our differences off-list, so I won't post on this subject again.
But, if you happen to know which book about Quakers I'm thinking about, please let me know off-list ...
