Hands down winner in my mind for any science
related technical writing is Science News.
http://www.sciencenews.org/

In the decades that I have been reading this
magazine (hard copy), I have found only a few
errors of any type. If you want to see techincal
writing at it's best, read it. If you want to
educate yourself on any science related subject,
this magazine will provide it. Not only do they
write well, they provide clear examples, know
when to refer readers to other sources, and
do it with humor and wit.

I would love to write for them.

. . can you suggest online examples of documents
you consider to be quintessential procedures,
specifications, process, policy, that sort of
thing?
