Subject:Worth v Cost From:Arlen -dot- P -dot- Walker -at- jci -dot- com To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Tue, 25 Jun 2002 11:53:33 -0500
Just something to keep in mind while discussing pay, etc.
You can't determine your worth, you can only determine your cost.
Like everything else in the market, worth is in the judgement on the buyer.
The only thing the seller gets to do is decide the cost. When my cost fits
your idea of my worth, we deal; when it doesn't we don't. I can try to
influence your decision on my worth, but in the final analysis, that
decision is yours and I have to accept it and decide either to lower my
cost or hold out for another buyer.
Have fun,
Arlen
