I know exactly what you mean. Technical writing isn't a job; it's what I
love doing, more than anything else, even more than my rather successful
career in the professional theatre as a designer. I really enjoy the work
and the process of creating software and documentation. I can't think of
anything I'd rather do to earn a living.

Of course, if my mystery novel gets bought, I could change that tune
quickly.:-) You know, Amy Tan was a technical writer before she was a
renowned author.
