So, if I have a yahoo.com address, I work for Yahoo, an earthlink.net
address, I work for Earthlink? Precisely because this is a broadband
provider, I would be more doubtful that it is the employer in question.
Besides, the actions mentioned don't seem like those of a technology
company, more like a traditional company that is wrestling with
technology issues.

Judging from Mark's e-mail address, the company would be NTL Group Ltd.,
which appears to be a British broadband provider. (Sorry if I got it
wrong, I examined the website only cursorily.)
