Hi Kate:
eHelp is a company and not a type of help. .NET is a programming
environment, and not a help system.
eHelp manufactures RoboHelp, which can be used to create JavaHelp, HTML
Help, WinHelp, uncompiled HTML Help, and cross-platform Help with TOC
and Index called WebHelp..
.NET can use any of these help formats, but because it is an MS thang,
you are most likely to see HTML Help and WinHelp.
As an aside, MSDN apparently, I am still learning this, uses its own
help format, based on HTML Help version 2, which is in a lengthy beta
and which will not be out until 2003.
Thus, your question really doesn't make sense; you can use eHelp to
create online help for .NET.
We are investigating the possible ramifications of converting from
E-Help to
.NET Help. I am having a really hard time finding information regarding
the
.NET Help Authoring System (whatever it is called). Basically, I need to
know if this conversion is possible, how seamless the conversion is,
etc.
Are we going to have to reformat a lot of things?
Does anyone know of a resource or knowledge base that directly addresses
this? I have checked the MSDN library, microsoft.com, and I've done a
google
search and come up with nothing.
