"I'm all for recognition of CE by the rest of the world (we in Canada
already accord it that honour)"

Damned straight!!! We have various forms of our own style guidelines (I was
taught Canadian Pacific Style in university) and our own spellings. Just
last week my new (English) manager (in London) made the faux pas of telling
me that it must be a bit of a pain in the ass to convert from American to
British English!!!! He made a second faux pas when I told him I was Canadian
- he said "oh, well then you won't have make any changes". He had no clue
that Canadians have their own style and rules for spelling!!!

cheers,
Jennifer
