I'm all for recognition of CE by the rest of the world (we in Canada
already accord it that honour), but please don't think that 'precise' as
a verb is included in it. I've *never* heard it used anywhere in the
country. However, as someone else pointed out, 'preciser' is a verb in
French, and many call centres here hire bilingual agents. Easy enough
for an ESL speaker to to be fooled by a false cognate (un faux ami, a
false friend, in French!).

Maybe we need to recognize CCE (Call Centre English)??

[using 'precise' as a verb]

May be it is time to declare a separate Candian dialect of English (CE),
alongside AE and BE?
