I received an email from a list member following my link, and it appears
that American Family doesn't have nationwide coverage - the company only
has agents in the Midwest and south and northwest (meaning you're out of
luck if you live elsewhere!). However, a quick search turned up the same
sort of short-term coverage at State Farm, although I can't be sure of the
prices or service. And State Farm does seem to be more nationwide as well,
but there are some areas specifically excluded from the short-term
coverage. Check out the following sites for more information:

http://www.statefarm.com/insuranc/health/sfforinf.htm
http://healthproducts.us.fortis.com/

Apparently Fortis provides the policy, but you have to go through a State
Farm agent to get it.

Sorry about any confusion. I knew AmFam was headquartered in Madison, WI,
but assumed it was a more nationwide provider than it is. My apologies.

Happy hunting!
