There is also a Table > Options > Table > Options for Autoresize to fit
contents that may be causing problems.

Ensure Table > Options has Fixed width cleared itself.

Try doing a column at a time.

If all else fails, try Convert Table to Text and then Convert Text to Table.

Okay, speaking of Word bugs...

I'm editing a db schema doc with a series of tables that
provide the attributes, data types, etc. of actual tables
in the database - about 100 tables, all told.

The tables were created by someone else and the column
widths appear to be "locked." Opening the table
properties, I can clear the "fixed width" checkboxes in
the column and cell tabs, but for some reason it isn't
getting "applied." When I re-open the table properties
dialog, the boxes are checked again.
