At my former job, I set out to learn as much as I could about the products I
wrote for. We kept extra stock of all our documentation at the warehouse
across from my office, so I wandered over and grabbed two of everything
written about my product and set up a library for myself. Soon I had
engineers and field service reps stopping at my desk with questions about
the manuals.

Somehow I have become the resident guru for Paint Shop Pro, which is rather
scary, as I'm just learning to use it myself. My supervisor has asked me to
put together a two hour training course to give to my department in August.
