For those of you who have written and offered to help me and not yet
received
the test, please accept my thanks for your willingness to be of assistance
to me. I will not be sending the test. Because of the overwhelming response
to my cry for help, I believe that I now understand what went wrong.

Happily, last week I took a test for Addison-Wesley and somehow did manage
to appreciate the necessity of making sure that the "accepted changes" files
didn't read like a Russian novel. ROTFLOL....

I don't know about you, but I'd rather have the mild embarrassment than sit
here steaming about a rejection, which turns out to be well-founded. I am
so grateful to you wonderful people!!!!

To those of you who sent me comments that you knew I would find painful, I
am indebted to you. This has been a remarkable opportunity to learn about my
own weaknesses and a watershed of sorts in my professional development.
I am today, right now, oddly *more* optimistic about my future than I was
before.

Thank you so much!
