anyone know why? This makes no sense to me -- is it a bug?<
It's pithy and full of useful information - an excellent technical writing
example <g>.
I do know that *once* your outline numbering scheme starts going wonky (and
if you don't follow the Seven Laws, it is awfully easy to nudge it over the
edge from order into wonkiness) it can be very hard to fix. How big is the
document you're updating? Is it feasible to start from the beginning, create
a Seven Laws template, and cut and paste the material into your new
template, using Notepad as an interim stage to eliminate any unwanted
styles?
