Mozilla is also free.

I don't want my desktop to be TOTALLY controlled by Microsoft. It's a
political thing.

Mozilla is WAYYY faster than either Netscape or IE.

I use it for my e-mail--it doesn't run virus e-mails like Outlook does.

I can use it on my FreeBSD desktop as well.

I can participate in the free software discussions and bug lists and such.

I can help with the development of documentation for Mozilla.

IE makes decisions for me that I don't particularly like.

Enough reasons? I can list some more!

Since my browser experience starts with text browsing, and moved on to
Mosaic and then Netscape, I supposed I'd consider IE to be the "wannabe) in
this crowd!
