Johanne:

There might be three causes of this effect:

* Distiller is not version 4.05

* The document was created with an old printer driver, which creates unsuitable PostScript for the Distiller

* The fonts are not present in the document (not embedded in choices for Distiller's job options) and the substituted fonts are causing the displacement.

For more detail, search the knowledgebase at www.adobe.com, and/or the PDF archives you mentioned for terms like "uneven letter spacing" or "incorrect letter spacing."

For example: "Click OK."
"OK" is in bold, but the period is not. The bold K overlaps the period,
making it look as if there is no period. This happens with every last
letter of a bold word followed by a word in default paragraphe font.

Regards,

Peter
