TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Maybe I'm not understanding the question, but why can't you just import the
file like any other graphic? If it's in .PNG format, the source app is
irrelevant. Just import it, and select a good dpi of about 150. If that's
still too big, right-click the image, choose Object Properties and then
click the Set DPI button and adjust the amount.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,

Sorry .PNG. I do have a copy of Visio, but the diagrams are far too long and
wide to fit on a Frame page.

I don't suppose you have a copy of Visio, do you? And do you really mean
.PGN format? I'm not familiar with that...did you mean .PNG or .PGM?
