TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Why is there so much bad karma on this list? Everyone- take a deep,
cleansing breath, relax, think happy thoughts and STOP HOUNDING OTHER
PEOPLE..!!
Andrew, I am really sorry that you chose to distance yourself from
TECH-Whrl. I have read all your posts- in my opinion, they were cheeky,
irreverent, reflective, but I've never seen you outright dissing or
ridiculing anyone.
Everyone, here are some words that I found on one of Andrew's posts:
"...Don't get me wrong...if you are truly interested in learning how to
create Help, then we're all for it.."
"..I hope you don't take offense with this, it truly is a
request for dialog, not a jab at your question."
These are not the words of some rude jerk who takes pleasure in tormenting
people. These are the words of someone who is really interested to know
what's happening and in doing so, asks some frank questions. If certain
questions make you face a harsher reality, there is no point in mauling the
questioner.
Andrew has been racy, never rash. And I am not at all ashamed of defending
him...I will miss you AP. Do reconsider. Or better yet, dont. I think you
made a good decision.

I am too busy to deal with this crap any longer. This is a dream come true
for
some of you. You got what you've always wanted. I am leaving the list.
