What happened? Did the company crash and burn? Did the job get filled by
someone else?

Doesn't matter. Let it go. Move on. Keep looking. Breathe.

Recently laid off twice (count 'em, twice), I know all too well about the
"perfect job" scenario, including the "unreachable contact" element. Just
let it go...
