Elna:

I've been a contractor for 10 years or so at maybe 8 gigs and I've
never had to submit a project plan. I've worked two ways:

1) Learn and write stuff until your contract is over.
2) Learn and finish writing "the stuff" by "X date", when your
contract is over.
