I am a bit confused. Your subject line suggests that you want
general information on creating help files, but, your question about
language translation leads me to believe otherwise.

By language translation, do you mean translating an existing file to
other languages? If so, I have a list of notes from other folks about
things to watch out for as you work with a translator (hey,
crimsonlanguage.com -- maybe you ARE a language translator?).

If you are just looking for general information on how to create an
RTF file for use with the help compiler, you might try here:

http://www.thestorytellerpress.com/the_freelance_storyteller/help_in
dex.htm

Also, if you download the HelpWorkshop from Microsoft (free), the
help file with that ("Help Authoring Guide") has quite a bit of
information.
