As others have noted, Word's Master Documents feature can be a problem.
Steve Hudson (no longer on this list) has a technique for keeping Master
Docs under control, but IMHO ordinary mortals should use a technique
involving RD fields, SEQ fields, and methods for cross-referencing between
Word files (if necessary).
