Why not just include a graphic, i.e. a picture, of the "File" drop-down menu
with the "Save" option highlighted?
Your system also has a floppy disc icon on a toolbar that is yet another way
to save, right? Show that, too.
Does your system have "tools" whereby your user can specify that work be
automatically saved every XX minutes? Graphically show how to turn on/off
that feature as well.
