I saw this as well, Justin, and I agree.

I'd like to propose that everyone using ship names continue to refer to
ships as the feminine (unless you're in a former communist bloc nation).
Lloyd's of London does not publish a Manual of Style for broad use. In
fact, maybe even make it a point to use the feminine pronoun.

Sad day for sailors, indeed.

I just needed an outlet, and this list was on my screen.

If you have ship names in your Tech Docs, you should change any nomenclature
from "She" or "He" to "It", at least according to Lloyds of London.

That is a sad day for sailors.
