Woohoo!

So, I can get some people fired, just by
sending e-mail to them? They don't have to
answer it, or use the (gasp!) words themselves,
they just have to be standing in the way when
I hit the 'Send' button, and they get the axe?

Wow. ........... power...... :-)

Remind me to search through my various
mailing lists for AOL addresses. Buaaaahahahahahaaaaa!

As for your other point... I'm sure I get more X-rated
spam due to -- as Eric has pointed out -- my address
(and yours, and yours, and yours too...) being made
available in the newsgroup mirror of this list.

But fortunately, I guess, even before the layoffs my
company appeared to be quite free of people with
their heads up their... ok, won't say that, here...

Anyway, for the record, I was not defending on-list
vulgarism. I was inquiring about a statement of business
policy. Sorta like that contractor non-compete thread;
something to be wary of when next seeking employment as
a TW: "We hold you responsible for what other people
might send to you, even if we filter it out before it
every gets to you... Even though we are hiring you
for your professional capbilities, we don't credit
you with the intelligence to decide if a resource's
value outweighs any possible unsavory attributes.
Even if you are not offended, we will go out of our
way to be offended on your behalf, to the extent of
removing you from the situation in which you were
exposed to the offence."
