Kathryn O'Donoghue asked:"Basically, does a product sold in a European
country have to provide documentation in the language of that country? Or
can documentation be provided just in English?"

Hi Kathryn,

the short answer to your question is: it depends on the product and the
country to which you will deliver your product.

There are regulations for the member countries of the European Union (EU).
But these regulations deal mostly with hardware and machinery. You have to
deliver an operation manual in the customer's native language when you
deliver a machine into the EU.

But I don't know of any regulations concerning software.

If you need more information, don't hesitate to ask.

Greetings from Germany

Andreas
