TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.

To sort records in a database:
Open the database
1. From the File menu, choose Open.
2. In the Open Database dialog box, navigate to the database.....
Sort the records
5. Click the header of the column on which you want to sort the records.
Second compromise:
Keep all the procedures dealing with records together, and address opening
databases once. Then, at the appropriate point in the more advanced
procedures, refer back to "Opening Databases."
Example:
To sort records in a database:
1. Open the database in which you want to sort records. (See "Opening
Databases" on page 34.)
2. Click the header...
