I can highly recommend a different e-mail program: Pegasus Mail, by
David Harris. It's _free_, it is loaded with features (you can sort on
anything, filter to folders, set up distribution lists, etc.), it does NOT
automatically run executable attachments (like our friend Outlook),
and there are no ads.
I've been using it very happily for years now. One of my favourite
features is that I can extract the text from any number of messages in
a folder into a single text file, and I can continue appending messages
to that text file. It's made a great resource for keeping messages from
this group that I've found especially helpful.
