I _did_ have a fiddle with them but abandoned them due to the mammoth extra
workload. Every field on every form becomes dynamic and the code swells
coordingly. Given a dedicated team of programmers though, it is possible.
The best bet is to have them wirte a generic routine that looks for the 'nth
or last if less tip taggd with the correct label. Then include the control
name with any field separator they want before all your tooltips in a flat
text file.
Final tweaks include using compression to crunch this file and make it
uneditable. (Need decompression on read natch)

Hi,
Does anybody have experience creating "progressive tool tips", as defined by
Constantine & Lockwood, for a browser-based application? If so, I'd
appreciate any guidance you can provide.
I'm having difficulty finding information on how they created these (and
haven't been able to get my hands on their book yet), and am wondering what
HATs might help to do this.
