I thought this was an interesting enough topic that I took the liberty of cross-posting the original question to another group I follow.

No mention was made of our occupation or the kind of work we do, so people were free to say whatever they wanted.

One respondent made an interesting observation that I thought I'd share here.

Depends on whether the job is a stocker at Superstore or for an airline attendant. Height is an advantage for the first job and she might be too high for the latter.
As far as intimidating men--who cares. Wear what is comfortable.
