When I was looking last year, I got a call from a recruiter in Minneapolis about an IETM project for a missile manufacturer.  Not wanting to start a political debate, I hemmed and hawed about the location and finally quoted an outrageous salary demand (basically about what I was making at the time plus what I'm making now).  They still sent me an application to fill out, which I trash canned right away.

One of the (many) reasons I was job hunting at the time was that they were going to add a rocket launcher variant to the series of trucks we were documenting.  The only way my conscious ever let me take a defense industry job in the first place was that they were not making weapons.
