I've found that folks referring to ISO need to be aware that ISO 9001 is for
quality SYSTEM documentation.
Account Receiving manuals are not part of a company's system to produce
quality service or product.
See these pages at the site for the American Society for Quality. It is the
organization through which America participates in the TC 172 (the committee
at the International Organization for Standardization, i.e., "ISO").
Go to the ISO site for info at the highest level for all the ISO standards,
of which ISO 9001:2000 is only one. It was released several months ago.
Here's a good, general overview for those who want to understand the general
gist of it.
