Short concise and accurate.
Here it is:

Make sure all sales are recorded promptly and accurately
Review all accounts once a week <month>
Contact anyone past due and find out why they haven't paid
If the invoice is disputed, trace why
If they are just being stubborn, turn the matter over to the collection
department.
Failure to follow these procedures can result in cash shortage for our
company. We may not be able to pay you.
