It sounds more like a fraternal organization/lobbying group. Nothing wrong
with that. Note the last sentence: 'if the majority of employees at a given
workplace wanted this type of union representation, we would certainly
facilitate this kind of representation." This indicates what tech workers
around the country have insisted upon whenever they've been given the
opportunity to vote on it -- they don't want "typical" labor unions.
But for techworkers do come together for lobbying or education or support,
that's the American way.
