Hi Meena,

I have a few ideas for white paper topics.

Since many people don't understand what technical
writers do, you might write about your
responsibilities and how you go about meeting them.
This would be a great opportunity to reinforce your
role in the company and explain the value you add.

If your boss is looking for more applicable OD
information, a short paper about how to improve one's
writing might be helpful. I'd use the opportunity to
explain basic punctuation rules, how to use lists
(e.g., using numbers versus bullets), how to write
procedures, and so on. I'd include examples of bad
writing and how they could be improved.

Finally, if everyone in your company uses MS Word, a
paper about using and applying templates might be
helpful.
