Harry,
1. Go to any University or similarly equipped library and look at articles
from academic journals. The majority will include an abstract which is
essentially the same thing. You may be able to access some online.

2. Forget examples and do an analysis of what you need the synopsis to
accomplish (audience, purpose, etc.) including probably length. Base your
synopsis on that.
