Been there, too! Gave my notice on Tuesday and was all geared up
to organize, delegate, brain dump,... On Wednesday, they told me
to pack my bags and enjoy two weeks vacation, then come back in
on my last day to sign papers, have an exit interview, and go to
my farewell lunch. Geez, talk about running headlong into a brick
wall!

As it happened, I gave myself the exit interview and somehow forgot
to ask myself the kind of probing questions that would have let them
know what a crappy job they were doing. Go figure! ;-) I guess you
just can't trust a terminating employee to do anything right!

;-)
