Re: problem creating PDF files
Word WILL put an empty paragraph marker after the table (I've never found a way to eliminate this, either, so if there is one, I'd love to know about it.)
The closest thing to a workaround is to reduce the size of the font in the paragraph to 1 point, and to make sure that the paragraph format has no space above or below. Then the presence of the empty paragraph becomes a secret that only you and I know.
