I thank the listowner and those who contribute to this list.
Some of us have been more successful than others in focusing again on their
work. Some of us still vent rathering meaninglessly, to Eric's disconcertion
and many participants annoyance. Indeed, judging by the quite nasty flames
some are subjected to, others of us have quite the short fuse and do not
want their time wasted by a purposely trivial posting.
Our attention needs to be drawn from what we have and might loose, what we
have already lost. The consensus of the list is that that be accomplished by
going back to work, that this list return to normal (circa before I joined).
To that end, I found the thread on creating a good PDF very beneficial, with
much to research. The thread on the "average" tech writer who doesn't know
that dots per inch equates to resulution was amusing to this very "average"
woman. I wasn't thinking about our uncertain situation and the constantly
breaking, sometimes frighening news stories. At least for a little while.
If this editorial annoys you, give me a break and spare me this time. You
have a lot on your mind. Well, I do, too.
