There's a program called CrossFingers for repairing corrupt MS Word
documents. You can download a 30-day evaluation at www.levitjames.com. I
use it all the time, and CrossEyes, another of their programs that gives you
a window to see the underlying code, like 'Reveal Codes' in WordPerfect.
