Many legislators are calling yesterday's attacks a "second Pearl Harbor."

I hope we don't subject loyal and decent Arab-Americans or Arab immigrants
to the kind of shameful acts of racial and hateful persecution that we
inflicted during WWII upon loyal Japanese-Americans.

But I also have faith that we will succeed in inflicting upon those who
perpetrated this attack the same consequence we delivered to the regime that
launched the "first" Pearl Harbor: utter and total defeat.

yeah, I agree. I'm a perfectly fine NYCer, and "unaffected" by the events.
My
corner 'cig store' is run by ME guys--all just 'regular' guys and treat me
like
a favotie customer--and I could never imagine they'd have *anything*at*all*
to
do with *anyI of this.....

but yesterday, I really really did want to hate them, and i knew gut level
that'd be really really wrong for me to do.
