The postings about pirated software got me thinking about the instances and
degrees of "pirating" I'm aware of..

Several contract-based companies I worked for didn't purchase enough site
licenses to accomodate all the relevant users. Of course, the given
application starts "migrating" to other work stations. The saying
"nudge-nudge, wink-wink" accurately defined management attitude.

My general conclusion: if the software developers don't look after their
own interests, their customers likely won't do it for them.
