You're right Mike, more data is needed.

I have tried opening it in Word but it created a 2000 plus page document. There is no Save as .doc or rtf in Excel nor could I find an export function.

I have in the past, with smaller documents, copied the text from Excel and used the Paste Special, Unformatted Text option. This works OK but is very laborious and I wondered if there was a smart way to do a "job lot".
