Since Sierra mentioned his book, I wanted to note that I have taken a
seminar
with Edmond Weiss, and I found it very helpful and enjoyable.
Highly recommended to anyone who has the chance...

One that has provided me with some help is "Writing Remedies: Practical
Exercises for Technical Writing" by Edmond Weiss.
I didn't find it to be necessarily geared toward technical writing, but it
has
good grammar exercises and actually explains what is wrong in sentences. I
found
it on Amazon.com a while ago.

of hands-on instruction, with practice sessions and answers. Anyone know of
such a thing?
