Yes -- that's the good part!
You don't really want them to read your resume. You want to sell them on you
in an excelllent cover letter, citing your accomplishments. MANY people are
getting asked in for interviews these days simply based on what they say in
their letters -- the resume contains details that can be revealed later.
First, get the interview.

And just a note -- if you attach your Word resume, save it as RTF. It's more
likely that various versions of Word will open it with formatting preserved.
