I signed up and IT SUCKED! You have to pay them first, which always
cheeses me off. I don't mind paying for a service, but I want to know it
will work FIRST.

Most of the jobs are tiny little bit jobs for $10.00 an hour or less! I
saw one person bidding $2500 for a 3 month project to develop user
documentation and on-line help for a database software. That's
ridiculous.

Whats worse, if you do land a decent gig with a company, they'll expect
you to work for peanuts all the time.

If you want some small time work for very little pay, eLance is for you.
If you're looking for real work, forget it.
