Our hardware engineer wants to get "D" size drawings from a vendor in a
format that he can view on his PC (we don't run any CAD software here).

The vendor may have the source file in AutoCAD, or it may be another CAD
tool.

What do these CAD systems export to that can be viewable without the CAD
system - should we request PDF, DXF, or some other image format? Our
engineer has FrameMaker and Visio.

Thanks,
