well, I just re-enabled Techwr-l & couldn't recall what I needed to run
Outlook's filter rules,,,
it turns out that for Outlook '97, ya gotta go download [from MS] and
install the Rules Wizard add-in [729k];
it's not a stock Outlook option [at least on this vanilla install].
It's annoyingly misleading 'cuz there *is* an Inbox Assistant option
[without Rules Wiz] off the Tools menu item, but it's inoperative UNTIL you
install the Rules Wiz. Then the option is no longer Inbox asst., but Rules
Wizard.
THEN and ONLY THEN you can create/enable filters, etc.
I have no idea if this applies to other versions of Outlook.
